"Impact" is U.S.E. Trio's third release. During winter of 2019, the band founded a live music series at the Maas Building in Philadelphia called the "Creative Concepts in Jazz Series" whereupon they workshopped an ever-growing repertory of music in front of a live audience. The compositions on this album were recorded in February 2020, just before the one year anniversary of the series, which was abruptly canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In retrospect, the title, "Impact", resonates more deeply given the times.
